Why do people say the PS3 has graphics WAAAY better than the Xbox 360?

I always hear:

"The graphics for PS3 are 10 times better than 360"

"The graphics for PS3 are unmatched"



Why do people say that when in fact it's not true...



Look at the screenshots for games that are on both systems...some of the games look better on PS3 and some look better on 360, and some look just the same on both systems. So really, there is nothing showing that the PS3 has WAAAY better graphics.



So all of you people that are saying that, GET YOUR FREAKING FACTS STRAIGHT.



P.S. I am not saying which system is better, I am just saying that PS3 isn't what all of you guys are saying it is and has.



So far on IGN, the PS3 has been getting many complaints...some games on it have really bad problems with the graphics that are actually great on 360. And the online is supposed to be very laggy and mediocre.





I am a very happy and satisfied owner of the Xbox 360, and soon to be getting the Wii.

Why do you care? So some Sony fanboy says the PS3 has better visuals than than the 360, it doesn't affect you does it? And if you're posting this in the hope of getting those people to take note of this then you're sadly mistaken, even if one of those people does see it they are unlikely to care, and if they do there are many more fanboys who will say what he won't. Don't think about it and you'll soon learn to tune out the retards. Have you thought about the possibility that you're comparing 1st generation PS3 games against 2nd generation 360 games? Resistance is 1st generation, and if that's what a 1st generation game can looks like, imagine how much better 2nd generation games are going to look like. If you want to make it even, compare the best 1st generation PS3 games vs. the best 1st generation 360 games.



Also, it's all up to the talent of the programmers to make the most of the systems. A mediocre programmer will produce games with mediocre graphics, and a good programmer will make games with great graphics. MS got Cliffy B and look what he did with Gears of War. Sony got Kojima and look what he's doing with Metal Gear Solid 4.

Technically, the PS3 can have better graphics than the Xbox 360, they just haven't learned how to use it yet.
