Why does the japanese hate the 360?

It angers me that the crap ps3 is outselling the 360 in japan, even though its been out for way longer. Why does Japan hate the 360? Because of patrioism. Japs want their electronics to do better than us. They want their stupid ps3 (which, by the way, sucks) to do better than the 360. The 360 has good JRPGs (blue dragon, trusty bell) and the ps3 has none. Why is the 360 hardly selling? It makes me want to beat them in the head. I have no problem with Japanese products, why does the Japanese have a problem with ours????http://boards.ign.com/xbox_360_lobby/b82鈥?/a>Why does the japanese hate the 360?
Um probably because Microsoft is American. lol Don't know but the PS3 is better. Just wait until the second wave of games..
The japenese hate Xbox because they love their brands such as Nintendo or Sony. Why does the japanese hate the 360?
Most of the 360s that sold over there were in a bundle WITH BLUE DRAGON. So don't just talk about that game and ask why it doesn't sell when it HELPED with that game. Oh and I happen to like the game so far for the one who was talking about how it hasn't taken well over here. Although I could name other great games that most just ignored, so don't really think it not selling doesn't mean it isn't quality. How about how few heard of Indigo Prophecy. Truly a QUALITY game, but so different that so few heard of it or risked giving it a chance. Great game. Now as to why so many Japanese buy the PS3, ever consider that Sony KNOWS what the Japanese want and that is what they put out in Japan. Do you realize how many games America never gets? Microsoft designed the 360 around the PS2 to try and get more sales. That is why it looks just like one basically. That is why the controller is so similar. I don't think Microsoft paid attention to the GAMING aspect though. Although they put out Blue Dragon in Japan first, took what a year to bring it over here? That seems awful long when it was planned to be brought over all along. Makes you kinda question Microsoft to a degree.
First of all, Blue Dragon sucks. It has a great team behind it and it had a lot of buzz, but it is a dull game with flat characters. It didn't impress the American gamers, just like it didn't impress the Japanese gamers. (I'm hoping Mistwalker's next game is better though.)

However, there are lots of reasons the Xbox doesn't sell well.

Look at the most anticipated games for the PS3. Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid. Those are franchises that sell in Japan. They also happen to do well in the US.

Look at the 360 though. The biggest games are Gears of War, Bioshock, and Halo 3. All from a genre that isn't popular in Japan. The other big franchises are sports games. American sports games. Those don't go over well with Japan either.

It really comes down to image. The Xbox has an image of a machine with shooters and sports games. That images sells in America. It doesn't sell in Japan.

Look at the N-Gage. After the redesign, many of the original problems were fixed. It even had a couple of decent games. But the thing was never taken seriously by consumers because of its image.

Imagine if a friend of yours was thinking about getting an N-Gage and what you would say to convince him against it. That's basically what happens in Japan with the Xbox 360.Why does the japanese hate the 360?
Japanese are xenophobic and prefer Japanese products. Microsoft could have a billion games that appeal to the Japanese and they'd still buy a PS3.
because their haters and suckas and they think there better than us
Dude, hate to tell you but America is the only country where 360 does well.

They also can tell a piece of garbage (360 and its well documented RROD) when they see one. What good is a ton of games when your system is always getting fixed.

Plus 360 doesn't really have any envelope pushing games. The best Xbox game ever in my opinion was Fable. And that game is on original Xbox.

360 didn't push the enevelope with technology either.

You can sit there and be a fanboy all you want but the bottom line is that PS3 is way better, has much newer and better technology, and is a much more quality product.

They don't have a problem with it, the truth is 360 pales in comparison to PS3. Just watch the rest ofthis year. PS3 games are already looking better than 360 (exclusives, not multiplatformers) and PS3 is better built for the future of gaming.

Sorry bro. You can give me a thumbs down now butI'm just giving you the truth man. PS3 is a better system.
How could you say we have a problem with US products? Xbox uses Toshiba/Hitachi drives for your information. And a lot of other stuff made from Japan. You should be happy about that, knowing that Japan is known for quality products unlike People's Republic of China. Also, Xbox is only popular in North America. In Asia, Playstation is the undefeated leader in the industry. How do I know? I'm asian. Duh

Blue Dragon and Trusty Bell? Never heard of it. But I'm sure you've heard about Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear, etc. which by the way, are PS3 exclusives.

Also, because the Xbox 360 console is dubbed as having the poorest quality and reliability. From the infamous "red rings of death" to scratching discs, rendering them unreadable. The Xbox 360 is conceived to have numerous fatal flaws. In addition, the console has a failure rate of 30-33% compared to PS3's 3-5%. Now what where you asking? We don't hate it. We just don't like the idea of technical problems arising while we are playing Final Fantasy that's all.

"The Xbox 360 is subject to a number of technical problems. Since the Xbox 360 console was released in 2005 the console gained reputation in the press in articles showing poor reliability and relatively high failure rates."

What experts have to say about the PS3:

MSN reviewed the PlayStation 3 saying, "the PS3 is a versatile and impressive piece of home-entertainment equipment that lives up to the hype 鈥?the PS3 is well worth its hefty price tag."

CNET awarded it a high score of 8.8 out of a possible 10 and voted it as its number one "must-have" gadget, praising its robust graphical capabilities and stylish exterior design while criticizing its limited selection of available games.

Hexus Gaming reviewed the PAL version and summed the review up by saying, "鈥s the PlayStation 3 matures and developers start really pushing it, we鈥檒l see the PlayStation 3 emerge as the console of choice for gaming."

At GDC 2007, Shiny Entertainment founder Dave Perry stated, "I think that Sony has made the best machine. It's the best piece of hardware, without question."
