Does 360 really have better gfx than Ps3?

I bought a PS3, and 2 of my cousins and 2 of my friends have 360's. I'm constantly told 360 has better graphics. I've even read on websites like IGN and 1up that a lot of 360/Ps3 games look better on the 360 than the Ps3.

Lol, come on man. That's because you're comparing games that were made for more than one system. Most people will port off the 360 because its easier to program for. The system that gets the port, which is usually the PS3, will not look as good as the original. If you look at the PS3's exclusive games, its obvious that the PS3 has better graphics. The one thing that 360 exclusive games have better than PS3 games (debatable) is lighting and shading rendering. The PS3 has better textures and texture details (always a fact).



You can't compare multiplatform games - that's asinine. Compare the exclusive games and ask the question again.

Well it all depends on how you look at things. Right now the graphics are better on the 360, BUT only because the 360 has the upper hand on how long it been available. Look at the most recent game such as Uncharted Drake Fortune there is like virtually no loading. There a loading screen in the beginning of the game and if you press start to skip story other than that there no loading you die it like a blink of eye to restart. Now let look at games that been made for both console, such as assassin creed which been working on for some time. The creator of assassin creed didn't focus so much on the ps3 but a software to allow to work on both console. Grand Theft Auto 4 was really excited about the "new feature" they learn what the ps3 was capable. Rockstar had to delete to some things so it could fit on a 360 disc. As more games come out the ps3 games will come out looking better. Think of it this way. When you start something it isn't as great after you learn how to use what you got.....!?Does 360 really have better gfx than Ps3?
First off, ps3 has better graphics than the 360. Don't base buying a console off the graphics, get it based on games. Right now, the 360 and ps3 graphics are almost identical, but that will soon change, and the ps3's graphcis will surpass the 360. you DID make the bad decision buying a ps3 over a 360 though, because the games, controllers, and online service are way better for 360 than ps3.

When games are made for both the Xbox 360 and PS3, the games are made to run on the Xbox 360 and then they are ported to the PS3.



Developers that aren't making exclusive PS3 games don't use the PS3 to it's potential because it would cost more money to use some of the PS3's real power.



PS3 exclusives look better than Xbox 360 exclusives and multiplatform games that have come might look a little bit better on the 360 because those games were ported over to the PS3. The PS3 has the Cell Processor and it is way more powerful than the Xbox 360 and the PS3 has the better graphics.



You didn't make a bad decision, you made the best one. Eventually all developers will tap into the PS3's real potential and your 2 friends will still be sending in their 360's for repairs. When Killzone 2 comes out ask your friends to come over and compare that games graphics to Halo 3. You will see that Killzone 2 has the better graphics.
No, it doesn't. Some bad developers make bad ports of PS3 games but there are also games that look better on the PS3, like Elder Scrolls IV-

Also no-one ever compares PS3 exclusives with Xbox 360 exclusives. Nothing on the 360 could stand up to Uncharted or Killzone 2.

Developers have had more time to work with the 360 and they just need more time with the PS3 to get the most out of it. EA even used the PS3 version for it's trailer of Burnout Paradise so that shows that things are getting better.
