Is GTA the greatest game of ALLTIME already? 10/10 from IGN! What do you think?
It kills COD4 and Halo 3 because you will never get tired of it! Just today I jumped off the empire state building in the game! WOW!
You can go see broadway plays, go bowling, play pool, go on dates/dinners, fly, and play in a online version of the game with up to 16 players simoultaniously!!! WOW! There are different online multiplayer games

Playstation 3 or Xbox 360?
I'm a big PS3 fan, but there are a lot of good games on the 360 as well.The Playstation has had a lot of good games the 360 hasn't had, but unfortunately the 360 has had a few more exclusives, I think. However there a **** ton of new PS3 exclusives coming out this year, it'll be hard to compete according to IGN. And I think 2011 will be Playstation's year.
On a side note, I think the playstation 2 was wayyyyyy better than the X box, people still buy the ps2 and most game trading stores won't take xboxes.

Why do games always get reviewed on the 360 and not the PS3?
Im getting sick of gaming sites always reviewing multiplatform games on the 360 and not the PS3. An example, GTA 4 was reviewed on the 360 along with DMC 4, DBZ Burst Limit and every game launched for both PS3 and 360. Why is that gaming sites always review games on the 360 and not the PS3. If I can recall GTA 4 and DMC 4 were orginally PS3 exclusives.

So companys dont want to waste their time bc the money is with the 360 right now, but if u have the ps3 dont worry it will catch up, it has the blue ray wich is crazy expensive if u buy it on its own, and the graphics are great. the games you have listed are all great games.i have played the 3 of them extensively,i have thousands of hours into oblivion game of the year,done all the quests both main story and side quests,i think i have every weapon there possibly is in the game.fallout 3 game of the year is the same way,i have done every thing possible,have all the achievements and trophy's.fallout new vegas supposedly has lots of bugs,but i only ran into 3 minor problems with out putting the patch on the game.i have played through it twice,done every mission,main and side,both times played in hard core mode which makes the game more interesting and have over 700 hours between both play throughs.some other great rpg to check out are,the elder scrolls morrowind game of the year,this came out in 2002 so the graphics may not be that great but the game itself is.also divine divinity ego draconis or divine divinity the dragon knight saga,the dragon knight saga and flames of vengeance are 2 dlc that were added to ego draconis just recently.in this game you get to turn into a dragon at will when you get part way through,plus there is just so much more to it.you really need to check this one out.you can also check out dragon age origins/awakenings and all the dlc for it.there are many different characters and ways that this game can be played through.hope this helps.have fun gaming.

It was a survey done ONLINE of 5,000 readers. The Xbox 360 has sold over 30,000,000 skus. Really now does that make the xbox 360 failure rate 54%? ( if you say yes, you are awfully horrible at math) Even if all 5000 readers said yes they got RROD, that still wouldn't equal to 10% failure rate. You must learn how to
do your math really it's quite elementary. It's a shame some people actually believe this crap ( like you for instance).

Just last month Sony was finally able to become profitable and lower manufacturing cost 70%. They were losing big time.
Ps3's are more reliable than current xbox 360s. ( there are rumours for a Valhalla chipset being implemented this fall into xbox 360's) but really in both cases you get what you pay for.

PS3 or Xbox 360? (Please Read Details)?
I have had a xbox 360 back in early 2008 and after 1 month, I rarely played it. I then bought a PS3 and it has been 2 years and I have been very happy. But, I've seen Halo Reach and Fable 3. I go back and I think of the IGN achievments guides and the spotlight/Inside XBOX section with vids of information and things to keep you enjoyed, great experience, PS3 on the other hand, seems to be not as much, the store is dull and is just demos, games, movies ect... Party chat, little kids we all laugh at, arguments ect....Its all fun to be in...You rarely engage in those conflicts on PS3.
I don't know what to do...I've gotten $800 for a gaming pc that is good and I am a few hundreds off. But since im thinking of getting an Xbox 360 and getting games, I'll be much lower and it will take alot longer to get that pc.(Took 1 year to get the $800. I don't have a job.)
My Friends at school say keep PS3 and the ones with Xbox say buy one. My PS3 friends say game developers are starting to go on Sony's side(Exclusive content, seperate port, ect.) and developers such as Bungie are going to start making multiplatforms since Halo Reach is their last Halo.

I don't know what to do...I've gotten $800 for a gaming pc that is good and I am a few hundreds off. But since im thinking of getting an Xbox 360 and getting games, I'll be much lower and it will take alot longer to get that pc.(Took 1 year to get the $800. I don't have a job.)

I went from a 360 to a PS3. No I am seriously regretting doing so. Both consoles have great exclusives. But multiplatform games are better on the 360. Look at some recent titles such as Need for Speed Shift. On the PS3 the game displays at a top 720P, while the 360 can display it at 1080P. The 360 has better hardware. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking otherwise. Read the links below. The PS3 may seem to have better hardware on paper, but Sony has a track record of over promising and under delivering. Unless you get exclusives that game devs have poured hours into a game do you get decent looking games. You will hear many people say, graphics aren't everything, its gameplay as well. I say BS to that remark and spit on it. In this day and age, when $60 goes to a game the graphics need to be good and have good gameplay. So what if the PS3 has Blu-Ray. You will be able to steam HD titles from your XBOX soon, and not to mention netflix.

I say "go for it" my friend, even if I'm a PS3 fanboy.
I totally respect your position regarding the 360, it's a very good console. There's no point turning this into another "console war". If you don't feel satisfied by your PS3 and you miss what you could do with your old 360, of course you should go back! No hesitation.
I am myself a hardcore PS3 fan and I'll stick with my "phat" since I use it mostly (80%) to play Blue-Rays and streamed DivX files, and only a little bit (20%) for games. As you can see, in my case, the 360 is not even an option so I never really considered it... I did spend some time with it when it was first introduced.
If you make the switch back, do make sure you get a good recent version of the 360 with a good games combo and up-to-date features.

I'm thinking they will change the current disc tray to a slot-loading disc drive, smaller power brick (hopefully smaller or integrated) and of course a new motherboard codenamed valhalla (This would really kill the RROD problem). :)
I don't think Blu-Ray will be necessary until their 8th-gen consoles because that would really f-up current XBOX 360 owners. Built-in WiFi, 3D TV support is possible..

Okay I see many fanboys on both side arguing which console is better. Here's my input on both... They are built for gaming but also on the person's perspective of gaming. People fail to see that and they just argue about which ever ones they hold. I own all three Xbox360, Ps3 and the Wii. I have done extensive research on the xbox and ps3 because of this debate, I even tested it out my self. I went from the inside out of the two systems platform, I even took off the shell of both of them to see what's inside. (I am a computer specialist in Minnesota). Here's my conclusion...
Processing %26amp; cores:
While doing extensive research and examing both of the platforms, I notice that xbox 360 had three cores which were dual cores each (2 pipelines). They were spread out to share each load that handled each game's processing. Each core were set to handle different task specificely kind of like the Apple G5. One core would handle graphic processing while the other handled data transport, shadows and lighting, etc... In the PS3, there was only one core, as you can see if you open one up it's a mega core. It actually has 7 cores compare to the xbox 360 6 cores. It uses one mega core to decode and process throughout 7 pipelines. Both systems do good and are able to handle any games you throw at it even though the xbox seems to have a little more advantage due to it's shared power. (shared by myself and IGN.com)
Graphics:
While both have awesome graphics it would take a real fanboy to see the difference or if both systems were paused on a game and compared side by side. I did with both (xbox with Sharp 52'' LCD 1080p Aquos) (PS3 Sony Bravia 52'' XBR9 1080p) both did awesome in COD:MW2 while the ps3 looked sharper but it didn't have much of a vivid shading as the xbox 360. Some blurs weren't seen with the PS3 as well compare to the xbox 360.
Since I tested it both on different tv's, I took a look at both of their graphics card and the ps3 had the Nvidia's core which was clocked at 700mhz (256mb of Vram and 256mb of RAM = 512 total memory). The xbox had the new version of ATI's Redeon graphic card. To my knowledge, ATI has taken the lead in graphics appereantly in the past few years. The xbox also has 700mhz core clock with 512RAM. This proves the reason why xbox had a bit better lighting and shading but if you don't care about that (which most people don't) they are both similiar. Remember just because the PS3 has blue Ray, it doesn't mean that it's better graphic quality it's just able to hold more data. 1080p delivers 1080p with the execptions of it's graphic card quality.
Media:
This is where it comes down to; what it can do... The ps3 has had great accomplishment in the past with it's drivers compared to xbox. To my experience, my xbox (older one) always gave me problems with it's CD drive. PS3 does have the compatibility to play BD, DL RW DISK, CD, DVD, etc... But remember, you pay for it pretty much with that additional 100.00. If you are a fan of multimedia than the ps3 is for you. Pretty much it's sad to say, that's all the advantage is with the ps3 and it's what cuased them to dip in their profit with the ps3. Of course you still have the convience of using one disk due to it's blue ray compatiblity. The xbox has probably a poor CD system and it tends to run hotter and louder due to it's ATI card that produce a bit slighter advance quality images in certain games.It also has the best support in online gaming (12 million subscribers compare with PS3 3 million free gamers) but you still have to pay 50.00 for that year of support. While the Xbox 360 can only hold about 9 gigs of memory, playing large games such as the New Final Fantasy 13 may have 3 or more disk compare to PS3 1 disk. It's really up to you, media or graphics quality.
Conclusion:
Honestly, PS3 doesn't sell much in Japan, if you look at the stats only about 5% of sales of PS3 are in Japan and even less with the xbox 360. Wii beated both in Japan and US. Xbox however, out sold PS3 in America in 2009 (819,000 xbox 360 and 710,000 PS3 console sold) Wii coming out at 2,150,000. Even though the battle may continue with PS3 vs Xbox 360, I believe the fans has already spoken due to it's sales. It's hard to say when you own all three already but from time to time my moods have me jump from ps3 to xbox 360, I can't just pick one! While I never do touch my Wii until family comes over. I own both systems and both have their ups and downs. While they are in constant competition with each other, I fully expect to see consoles from both Sony and Microsoft looking different, but having identical capabilities. I will list my pros and cons for both systems, but my answer will not nearly be as detailed as your question.
Honestly, in my opinion the only thing that the Xbox offers better than the PS3 is the online gaming experience. This is the exact reason I don't mind paying for my XBox Live subscription. Microsoft is constantly making improvements to the "community" feel of online gaming. PS3 may offer online for free, but the lack of financial resources for doing limits updates and community regulation. On the other hand, PS3 has a built-in Blu-Ray player. This is a big plus for the PS3. Microsoft charges another $200 for their plug-in HD-DVD player. PS3 also has WiFi. Microsoft charges extra for the network adapter. Graphically, as far as gaming, they are equal. Graphics capability is solely defined by the game's developer. Currently, PS3 does not offer a vast selection of games. XBox still reigns supreme in the number of titles. This will change in the future.
All in all, if you want more bang for your buck, then I would go with the PS3. If the online experience is your primary concern, then XBox is the way to go.Thought on PS3 vs Xbox 360, please input your thoughts...?
Xbox 360 IMO is the best. For starters even though you have to pay for it, its online service is much easier to use and more relliable at times than the PS3
also you can get full 360 games and "arcade" games off your 360 for a relativitly low price. Demos are free as well and they have a lot of them.
Lets not forget it has something just a little short of itunes. You can get lots of music movies and TV shows. They even have a netflix service.
Lets not forget the 360 has much more games and the largest amount of people who use the online services even though they have to pay for it.

Wow, that was extremely thorough. I tip my hat to you. I did a little bit of research a while back on all three trying to decide which one to buy (I bought a wii). I did read one thing about a poll (from 2009) on all three about their failure rates and if I recall correctly it said the following:
Wii: 6% rate of failure
PS3: 16% rate of failure
Xbox 360: 59% rate of failure.
Obviously this isn't entirely accurate since they couldn't check every gaming machine in the world. I personally think that the the Xbox is aimed at the mature gaming community, I don't think they even have one game rated below T, and most of their games seem to be M. I don't know much about the the ps3, however I have a ps2. It seems that playstation is an attempt to envelop both sides of the gaming community (younger and mature (mature as in 15+)). The Wii also seems to try a little bit to get both sides, but leans towards the younger side, the wii also seems to be more family orriented. Almost my entire family enjoys playing the wii, I do have a large family, so the wii was obviously my first choice.
My conclusions:
X-Box 360: semi-expensive ($250+), has high failure rate, is aimed at pro-gamers, has good graphics. Has netflix and Halo(yeah!!!)
PS3: aimed at both progamers and newbies, is very expensive, has blu-ray, can play ps2 games, to my knowledge doesn't have netflix YET.
Wii: Economic($200 and down), has netflix, plays gamecube games, has multiple controller styles, uses motion sensing(awesomness), does have several war games (my friends have told me it has none, not true obviously), has wifi no adaptor required.

It's hard to say when you own all three already but from time to time my moods have me jump from ps3 to xbox 360, I can't just pick one! While I never do touch my Wii until family comes over. I own both systems and both have their ups and downs. While they are in constant competition with each other, I fully expect to see consoles from both Sony and Microsoft looking different, but having identical capabilities. I will list my pros and cons for both systems, but my answer will not nearly be as detailed as your question.
Honestly, in my opinion the only thing that the Xbox offers better than the PS3 is the online gaming experience. This is the exact reason I don't mind paying for my XBox Live subscription. Microsoft is constantly making improvements to the "community" feel of online gaming. PS3 may offer online for free, but the lack of financial resources for doing limits updates and community regulation. On the other hand, PS3 has a built-in Blu-Ray player. This is a big plus for the PS3. Microsoft charges another $200 for their plug-in HD-DVD player. PS3 also has WiFi. Microsoft charges extra for the network adapter. Graphically, as far as gaming, they are equal. Graphics capability is solely defined by the game's developer. Currently, PS3 does not offer a vast selection of games. XBox still reigns supreme in the number of titles. This will change in the future.
All in all, if you want more bang for your buck, then I would go with the PS3. If the online experience is your primary concern, then XBox is the way to go.Thought on PS3 vs Xbox 360, please input your thoughts...?
Xbox 360 IMO is the best. For starters even though you have to pay for it, its online service is much easier to use and more relliable at times than the PS3
also you can get full 360 games and "arcade" games off your 360 for a relativitly low price. Demos are free as well and they have a lot of them.
Lets not forget it has something just a little short of itunes. You can get lots of music movies and TV shows. They even have a netflix service.
Lets not forget the 360 has much more games and the largest amount of people who use the online services even though they have to pay for it.

Wow, that was extremely thorough. I tip my hat to you. I did a little bit of research a while back on all three trying to decide which one to buy (I bought a wii). I did read one thing about a poll (from 2009) on all three about their failure rates and if I recall correctly it said the following:
Wii: 6% rate of failure
PS3: 16% rate of failure
Xbox 360: 59% rate of failure.
Obviously this isn't entirely accurate since they couldn't check every gaming machine in the world. I personally think that the the Xbox is aimed at the mature gaming community, I don't think they even have one game rated below T, and most of their games seem to be M. I don't know much about the the ps3, however I have a ps2. It seems that playstation is an attempt to envelop both sides of the gaming community (younger and mature (mature as in 15+)). The Wii also seems to try a little bit to get both sides, but leans towards the younger side, the wii also seems to be more family orriented. Almost my entire family enjoys playing the wii, I do have a large family, so the wii was obviously my first choice.
My conclusions:
X-Box 360: semi-expensive ($250+), has high failure rate, is aimed at pro-gamers, has good graphics. Has netflix and Halo(yeah!!!)
PS3: aimed at both progamers and newbies, is very expensive, has blu-ray, can play ps2 games, to my knowledge doesn't have netflix YET.
Wii: Economic($200 and down), has netflix, plays gamecube games, has multiple controller styles, uses motion sensing(awesomness), does have several war games (my friends have told me it has none, not true obviously), has wifi no adaptor required.
You did alot of research, and anyone who's trying to choose should definately read the main post.

That was very informative. I, too, own all three. I'm the same way on the Wii. It pretty much just sits there. When people ask me, I tell them to get a PS3 but I play my Xbox just as much (maybe more). I look at it like If i had no consoles and could only pick one I'd get... The obvious answer has to be PS3. I know! I know! I know that PC's have much better graphics! I don't need a whole article on how Fallout 3 looks gorgeous on a PC compared to an XBOX 360... Here's the point: I have both systems, a high end PC and XBOX 360, and enjoy playing on both. However, I have noticed that the number of players is rising on XBOXs these days, and I was wondering why that is... I created this question to not only say what I love about both, but to hear why everyone else chooses which they prefer... Here are MY views on things: I love both PC and console gaming, but I would hate to double up on all my games, for instance, I have already bought 2 versions of all of the Call of Duty games, one on XBOX and one on PC. As you may know, this is not only expensive but redundant. I understand that these are hard times for everyone, and that is why there are more console gamers appearing than there have been in a while: in order to play a cool PC game with good graphics, you need a pretty nice PC, which can cost anywhere from $400 - $4000, not including monitor, headset, speakers, etc. while it can cost only fractions of that by buying an XBOX 360, only $200 - $300 for the actual console, not including the television setup, speakers, etc. and have not as good graphics, but a fun and memorable experience nonetheless. I am fortunate enough to have both, but I threw it out there for reference. Most of my friends rave about their XBOXs and the games they have, and I want to play those games with them, but I would much prefer using a mouse and keyboard over a controller for most of the games XBOX offers. I do not hate the controller, I am just a bigger fan of the mouse and keyboard, as it delivers crisp and precise movements and control over the XBOX controller. I LOVE XBOX LIVE, everything about it is awesome, the free ("free" with a $50 Gold XBOX LIVE subscription) IGN Insider Moves, OXM, Major's Minute, the whole lot, but I love Steam as well. Not only does Steam offer many killer deals on games and have mega sales on almost everything, STEAM IS FREE! I love when I come home from buying an XBOX game, slip the game into the console and play it, without any installation or waiting, which can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. I could care less where I played, whether on a couch or a comfy chair, but I enjoy playing on the same console with my friends, which is impossible on a PC. I am a big fan of the PC's highly advertised "Free DLC" through updates and patches, vs paying $10 - $15 for XBOX DLC. However, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for the PC has tested my patience and appreciation for Steam games, as I have run into many hackers and cheaters that ruin the game for everyone. Dedicated servers are awesome, as you can find any match you wanted: gametype, map, mods, player numbers, hardcore/normal health, etc. and join that game in an instant. But playing in a lobby adds a dimension of unknown and uncertainty (Who am I playing with? What is the next map?) which is also different and enjoyable. In my honest opinion, both the PC and XBOX 360 are pretty evenly matched in terms of fun, playability and entertainment, but as of right now, and the foreseeable future, I think that most of my time will be spent on my PC, as it is (in my opinion), and has been, the best way to play video games. A high end PC is much more expensive than xbox360, and xbox360 has better online servers that is the reason for increasing number of players on xbox360. PC is still the best for gaming, it depends on you and your friends, do you guys prefer doing online gaming on xbox360 or pc, because everyone can own an xbox360 but not everyone can own a high end pc.

Believe it or not most people who play video games don't care so much about being able to watch videos on their console ( i.e the wii ). It may be a PLUS but it's never really a deciding factor because most people have dvd players already.
So if people don't care about being able to watch regular DVD's on their console why should they care about Blu ray movies? They cost more money any ways. It is the exact same movie just with a few added features which I'm not sure if the majority is dying for..If i'm not mistaken Blu ray goes up to 1080P right?
From my knowledge, when it comes to movie watching on Xbox 360 you can just get a Netflix account for about $10 a month, and *rent* as many movies as you want. I think they are coming up with Instant 1080P video streaming this year for 360 so that's a plus for any movie fanatics. I personally would pay $10 a month to watch as many movies as I wanted in a month, instantly. I'm not sure If it's going to be like Youtube where sometimes you watch a movie and it's really choppy ( buffering). They might be able to surpass that because I know that on IGN ( I think) when I was watching E3 there was some sort of video player, you first downloaded some soft ware and you could watch continually without any buffering. I was actually surprised and wondered why I never saw this any where else. Bandwith *may* be an issue, and it *may* not be an issue.
The only plus I see with the Ps3 on this is owning the movie. How ever let's use 17Again as an example. The blue ray disc cost $29.99 at Best Buy. Great you watch it you get to keep it, maybe watch it again? ( i personally don't like watching movies twice) Now for $10 a month you could watch the same movie in the same 1080P viewing as many times as you wanted , and OTHER movies...all for $10 a month. If I wanted to watch Batman: Dark Knight , 17 Again, SipderMan 3, and Wall-E on BD it would cost me $60. ( let's say at $15 each even) Or I can just watch all of them, maybe not own the physical disc, but watch all of them for $10.Theres a $50 price difference, I personally wouldn't pay $50 more just to own movies on disc.
I hope you see what I'm saying. And you can do this on ALL 360 models out there right now. Yes, even the $199 Arcade models.
Now im not bashing any console here, im saying 360 deserves *some* credit.

How ever the 360 also puts up a fight, and has more A,AA, and AAA then Ps3 ( but that includes Arcade games for 360 and PSN games for Ps3) Most of the time multi-platform games performed better on the 360 then on the Ps3.. I thought it would be the other way around.

Hopefully upcoming games are not let downs. Many Ps3 users say Killzone 2 was HIGHLY over-rated. The Ps3 is almost 3 years old now. Yes I agree people are so over persuaded by blu ray player so much, it is a gaming console is it not? Games should be the top priority
and Yes you made another great point, While the exclusives of the ps3 are simply amazing, their are not enough to make it more worthwhile than the 360, it seems that sony seems to distribute all of their work on improving multiple things (blu ray, psp, games , internet, playstation home) by doing this in the end they all end up flawed, (home was a disaster, the internet browser is pretty buggy, the psp is not doing very well and the ps3 is lacking in games) while Microsoft focuses on gaming, but doing so sacrifices their multimediawhich is not that good.
Also while still on the game Subject, Ps3 is losing A LOT of exclusive franchises to the 360, They could of made Gta 4 exclusive, they would of made A LOT of money, final fantasy 13, and the metal gear solid series, also the 360 gets other exclusive content (like the lost and dammed) which is pretty much a slap at Sony. and don't forget third party games, while the 360 games are superior because of the very difficult processor used on the ps3 to develop games, that's why they come out very buggy and glitch, although they problems are fixed in down loadable updates, in fact some people don't even make games for the ps3, they just port the 360 versions, keep in mind this is only for third party games
Sony let the mass succession of the ps1 and ps2 get to their heads The CEO of activision threatened to stop making games for the ps3 unless they make a price cut but all they did was insult them, you Do NOT insult activision, All game developers admit that the ps3's processor is a mess, that's why some games come later after the 360 (bioshock) or some developers quit the ps3 entirely (valve).
This also explain why some ps3 users decide to flame the 360, because it shows how insecure they are of their own console, they paid almost 700$ at launch, and to see the cheaper 360 to be currently doing better than the ps3 in both sales and Games, they are not happy.
Sony really needs to step up to their game, if they want to stay a real threat to microsoft.
also on a humorous note. I think it is funny when Sony fan boys say "Microsoft Sucks" that is very hypocritical because they need to see what operating system their computer is using.

I do give 360 credit. I'm overall a "Gamer" but when it comes to the console wars, I have to side with Playstation.
I do know the differences and got to give Microsoft the credit for making Live.
Still you gotta think about it, the 360 fanboys always bring up **** which makes me mad like "we have better online games, PS3 has no games lulz." I really do not get how they have better "online" games. We basically have the same games but if they were talking about features, then at the moment, yes they do have it better. But in the coming feature, it will be the same with Firmware 3.0.
The PS3 has built in internet browser, And this is a pretty heavily used feature at least on me and my friends parts. and the reason most of the games that are multi-platform run better on 360 is because they were made for the 360 then converted over to the PS3 not vice-versa. And regarding the movies you can rent movies straight from the PSN store or buy them 1080p btw renting and buying. Yes you can hook a printer up to your PS3 its pretty stupid IMO. And the PS3 should start "booming" this year or next with multiple big hit releases on the way such as God of War 3(the real GOW), Wolfenstein(remake, Releases august 18th), Uncharted 2(release, October 13, 2009), M.A.G(Massive Action Game, Fall 09, 256 player in one game etc etc), Heavy Rain(Spring 010), The Last Guardian(Sometime 010), FFXIV(010), and a lot more!

Well, who said that you have to buy a Blu - Ray movie? You can rent it at Blockbuster which is the same price as renting a DVD.

and Yes you made another great point, While the exclusives of the ps3 are simply amazing, their are not enough to make it more worthwhile than the 360, it seems that sony seems to distribute all of their work on improving multiple things (blu ray, psp, games , internet, playstation home) by doing this in the end they all end up flawed, (home was a disaster, the internet browser is pretty buggy, the psp is not doing very well and the ps3 is lacking in games) while Microsoft focuses on gaming, but doing so sacrifices their multimediawhich is not that good.
Also while still on the game Subject, Ps3 is losing A LOT of exclusive franchises to the 360, They could of made Gta 4 exclusive, they would of made A LOT of money, final fantasy 13, and the metal gear solid series, also the 360 gets other exclusive content (like the lost and dammed) which is pretty much a slap at Sony. and don't forget third party games, while the 360 games are superior because of the very difficult processor used on the ps3 to develop games, that's why they come out very buggy and glitch, although they problems are fixed in down loadable updates, in fact some people don't even make games for the ps3, they just port the 360 versions, keep in mind this is only for third party games

This also explain why some ps3 users decide to flame the 360, because it shows how insecure they are of their own console, they paid almost 700$ at launch, and to see the cheaper 360 to be currently doing better than the ps3 in both sales and Games, they are not happy.
Sony really needs to step up to their game, if they want to stay a real threat to microsoft.

I do give 360 credit. I'm overall a "Gamer" but when it comes to the console wars, I have to side with Playstation.

The PS3 has built in internet browser, And this is a pretty heavily used feature at least on me and my friends parts. and the reason most of the games that are multi-platform run better on 360 is because they were made for the 360 then converted over to the PS3 not vice-versa. And regarding the movies you can rent movies straight from the PSN store or buy them 1080p btw renting and buying. Yes you can hook a printer up to your PS3 its pretty stupid IMO. And the PS3 should start "booming" this year or next with multiple big hit releases on the way such as God of War 3(the real GOW), Wolfenstein(remake, Releases august 18th), Uncharted 2(release, October 13, 2009), M.A.G(Massive Action Game, Fall 09, 256 player in one game etc etc), Heavy Rain(Spring 010), The Last Guardian(Sometime 010), FFXIV(010), and a lot more!

I read an IGN article, and it talked about a rumour that states the upcoming Xbox 720 will not let people play used games. If that rumour becomes a reality, I will NOT buy the Xbox 720 because the majority of games I get for my Xbox 360 are used. Pretty good game, a lot like final fantasy with a bit different fighting style. The battles seem a bit like chess, which isn't too bad, more strategy involved. The random fights where your walking and you jus get into a fight out of nowhere like pokemon isn't very cool, personally I don't like that.

The company states that, “This problem is endemic on the Xbox 360 console and the volume has made this repair non-viable.” Micromart will also no longer fix Xbox 360 consoles that display screen freezing problems. The company, however, will continue to support all other repairs to the consoles.
“We were seeing about 30 a week before we pulled the plug on the service,” said Micromart’s Jeff Croft to GamesIndustry. “We saw it over a period of several months and it was just getting worse. It began towards the end of last year. Once the twelve month warranty finished then we started to see more and more machines being sent in to be looked at.”
“The work we had done to the console lead us to believe that basically it was a fault with the motherboard and not something that could be resolved easily. And it wasn't going to go away,” continued Croft.
“We're not taking that thing on board; we won't repair them. We originally did some work with it but it's labour intensive and it isn't really a feasible repair for us to undertake. We would probably end up charging GBP 100 [$202] for a repair and we still wouldn't be happy with the end result,” he added.

OMFG i just got that red lightm yes at the moment ps3 does look better, i called microsoft, and they said they would send a box within 1-3 business days, its been like a week no sign of a box, i mean wtf i bought xbox live and its about to expire i want to play with my 360 but now i can't i'm pissed, but there is the warranty and if they can't fix it my 360 i will get a new one, and they better give me a extra stuff because i've been waiting and i want to play, if they give me a extra memory woot that'd be great, well i prefer the ps3 unless microsoft finds the problem and fixes it. but you should probably wait, they are spending 1 billion to fix it so they must care, but we'll c what they do, so far if you don't wana spend a butt load of money on ps3 or 360 get a wii, good for excerise and fun from what i hear. but 360 has cooler games, and more coming out end war and halo 3 are the most anticipated games for me

Okay my birthday is coming up and people want to know what to get me so I am going to pick a xbox 360 game for them (family) to buy me.
So far I have narrowed it down to four choices:
1. Call of duty modern warfare 2 $100 -FPS IGN rating 9.5 (note I already have a fps)
2. Assassins Creed 2 $100 -RPG IGN rating 9.0 (also IGN game of the years)
3. Forza motorsport 3 $90 -Racing IGN rating 9.4
4. Batman Arkham $80 -RPG IGN rating 9.3 (note batman is my favorite superhero)
Please take into account that I will probably want a game that is multiplayer (local and/or online) capable unless you think that the game is amazing without multiplayer features.
Note all prices are the cheapest NZ$ prices available.

I would suggest Modern Warfare 2 simply because it lasts longer than the others due to its online play. Assasins Creed 2 has a very short campaign and the dlcs are very short too. Forza gets very monotonous very soon. With Batman Arkham Asylum there is also no online play and the free roam is quite restricted.

Modern Warfare 2 is very overrated, I wouldn't get that, reviews are so high because when it first came out, when the reviews were made, it was expected to be awesome, so all the critics jumped on the bandwagon. I recommend Battlefield Bad Company 2 if you want an online FPS.
Assassin's Creed 2 is awesome, one of the best single player games I've played in the last couple of years, and it's even better if you have the first. Obviously the replay value isn't great, but it lasts for a while, and it's definitely not to be missed. There's also lots to collect on the game like feathers that takes ages.
Batman Arkham Asylum got game of the year from GiantBomb. That games is just awesome, I would pick this or AC2 personally. Both are just awesome.
Hi there well if you like online game play Modern Warfare 2 is a good choice, but to be honest i would go for Battlefield Bad Company 2 it is a better game play experience. I am a Call of Duty fan, but Modern Warfare can get very aggravating to play and is screwed up to say the least at the moment and the new map pack is far over priced at 1200. With Battlefield your getting more vehicles, a more realistic feel, buildings will literally fall to bits even from a grenade launcher, the maps are giant five times as bigger than Modern Warfare 2 maps, the map packs are free you get a card with your game with a code that you put in when you first go online. With battlefield there are only four types of online games and a fifth which combines two and will alternate after a game between the two modes. But it really isn't frustrating and when you have all the different maps it doesn't matter. But if you like to have many game modes to choose from then Modern Warfare 2. Assassins Creed 2 is an amazing game true it doesn't have multiplayer but its story mode is very long and interesting, you may not get some of the story line as its a sequel. But there is enough to keep playing for a good 20 hours maybe some more. Add ons already on the market place and i think there are more to come. Oblivion is an amazing game its an RPG and lasts forever you couldn't ask for a longer game. Creating your own character from scratch different races with different attributes, for example the wood elf good at sneaking around and bow and arrow. The world is called cyrodil and it is huge no joke amazingly giant and nearly everywhere in the map excluding the giant towns and the imperial city are camps, caves and much more for you to explore and level up you character, get loot money weapons armor. There are lots of weapons and armor and as you level up the weapons and armor goes up with you becoming better for example iron to steel or steel to glass. The story can take a long time and there are 4 guilds in the game which offer long story lines as well, you have the thieves guild, mages guild, fighters guild and the dark brother hood. On my account i think I've played it for around 150 hours and i have others its really fun. I can't really tell you about the others. Why are Xbox 360 sales higher than the PS3 sales?
From what I seen on IGN most of the time I see Wii at the top, Xbox 360 at 2nd and PS3 at 3rd etc...
From Youtube all I see is how PS3 is better than the 360 but why are the 360 sales still higher than the PS3.

the 360 was released a full year ahead of the PS3. Thats a huge head start. Its the very reason Microsoft said Xbox lost to PS2, because the PS2 was released earlier. They were quicker out the gate this time and it shows. Also when the PS3 first came out, its high price tag and poor selection of games didn't make it worth while. They have since righted the ship. i own a 360 and i know the reason: The RRoD forces more people to buy more since like 70% of systems get it at one point or another. Stupid microsoft, if xbox didnt have so many good exclusives and a good network, i would be a ps3 fan.
most people think the Xbox is cheaper when it isn't (you still need a hard drive, you have to pay for Xbox Live, if you want wireless internet on it you have to buy the 100 dollar adapter, batteries for the controller every couple of weeks) most people don't think ahead enough to see all of the costs down the road in one year your 200 dollar xbox will cost you about 435-450 dollars plus about 80-90 dollars every year after that for Xbox live and batteries
If you buy the PS3 you pay 300 for the system and thats it other than games
and Yes the RRoD is still going hit my friend just last week (thats his third xbox thats died from it and microsoft won't repair it)

People went to the 360 simply because the initial price was cheaper. Remember, the PS3 price cut only happened 4 months ago. And Sony did sell over 1 million consoles in a matter of weeks after that price cut. Its gonna take time to surpass the 360. However, the PS3 is actually beating both consoles in monthly sales, and this was before the price cut happened.
I have a hard time believing either one will surpass the Wii anytime soon because the Wii reaches out to a much broader audience and I'm pretty sure it was the cheapest of the next gen consoles most of the time.

The xbox live adapter is only 50 dollars now unless you wanna go all out and fancy with the 100 N adapter (not needed) which wireless sint needed either its not worth it. Get a cheap ethernet cord it works better and cheaper. Just can get in the way if you dont know how to hide it

The next thing the 360 had going for it was the fact that it had Gears of War and a series that seems to be the only thing Microsoft seems to bank on when their back is against a wall, The Halo series....which is by now a freaking 8 year old game and is stale. How much is my Call of Duty: Black Ops On the Xbox 360 worth?
How much money can I get for it? I really want Gamestop to give me $20-$30 for it so that I can buy Red Dead Redemption on the PlayStation 3. I already have Black Ops on my PS3 and I saw how awesome RDR looked and I really want it. I think it was great, alot of fun to play and its simply stunning in HD
but there is a learning curve to it. This is a game that you cant just pick up and play. I'd say you'll need a good 15 or 20 min. getting use to the controls.
That being said, once you get the hang of the controls, you can go anywhere you want through 4 large cities. If you can see it, you can go to it.
It gets a little difficult when your fighting large numbers of bad guys and at times you may lose track of the story, but all in all its a great game to get especially if you have a high def tv

So no, its not a game worth getting just because one magazine gave it a mediocre rating.
This is a great game with great graphics and just overall fun to play, but It does not have xbox live, That is why i am no a big fan because i beat it several ways now i am done so i think you should save your money for the new games coming out for example

it was a good game but its more worth renting then buying my boyfriend beat it in 3 days and only played it for a couple of hours each day so your better of renting then owning

im with u man, i finally got a ps3 after years of torture hving to play on my mates xbox 360. the ps3s have so many better features, like free online. plus i just finished the demo for killzone 2, its so goood, i mean, it looks way better than gears 2 and gameplay shreds it too. and who ever teh idiot that said halo is better than killzone is an idiot, resistance 2 is liek 3 times better. suck on that microsoft.

Killzone2 is the first game that made me want a PS3. I started watching videos like 2 weeks ago and I got really into the game. Then reviews came out and the demo came out, now I don't care as much. It will still be a good game, but not the best game. What iv been hearing is the controls take awhile to get use to, the character movement is a little slow at doing certain things. It has nothing revolutionary that's never been seen before. If it was for 360, i would probably buy it. But its not enough to make me buy a PS3 for it. One thing I noticed was all the reviews you stated were Playstation magazines. On metacritic, out of 40 reviews it has an average of 93, that's still damn good. The highest score it got was 100, lowest a 80. Most gave it a 90.

Out of those consoles, people have the Wii the most, because it's cheap, the 360 is desired for it's online Xbox Live, which is the best in the market, and it has the most games, but performance for both of those consoles is nothing compared to the PS3 (twice as fast than Xbox360, with 50% polygons able to display on screen), which sells very little, because of it's high price tag.
According to IGN, they reccomend getting the PS3 in the long run, because 360 is done with it's maximum potential now, and that they probably need to make another console to keep up with the PS3 soon. the PS3 is developing games slowly, but Sony is making a developers program, that's easy to use. Easier than it is now, for the PS3. IGN says that this will call forth a rush of games to the console, and that better games, longer, and with amazing graphics will be released. The SIXAXIS controller offers a better control then the 360 at the moment too What do you think about al of this?PS3 vs. 360 vs Wii?
I think someone drank the Sony kool-aid.
it's easy to say "Sony will do this" or "Sony will do that", or "MS can't do something" but the truth is it's just speculation.
Sony has a history of making promises they don't keep. How about the original PS3 release date? Online? communities? awards? The point is that just because they say games will be coming faster doesn't make it so.
As far as the Xbox goes, to say it's reached it's potential after less than 2 years is simply ignorant. The PS2, the first Xbox both improved year after year as developers got better with the hardware. The same will happen with the current gen consoles.
As far as the hardware specs go, specs are such a minor aspect of the system. You can have the greatest, most powerful system in the world but if it's impossible to program for you simply won't get the games. The Xbox is based on a PC architecture so it's already familar to developers. That alone will keep games flowing to the platform as developers can easily cover 2 platforms (360, PC) with one development effort.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-PS3. I'm picking mine up as soon as they confirm the date for Tekken 5! I just don't like unbalanced journalism. Both systems are good, both have their strengths and you really can't go wrong with either one. But I wouldn't make my decision based on one pretty biased article on IGN.
Or you get both systems and cover all your bases :)

For me the best console is PS3, of course that wii is pretty popular right now, he got that remote and many other attachments, but for me PS3 is the best choice. But don't buy PS3 now, wait for a few months, wait until praise comes down, plus, many attachments will come out on PS3, and DVD GAMES will be cheaper, just wait, be patient and you will see, it was the same with PS2 and PSP.
Wii. what is better than tenis on the wii? exactly. nothing compares to it. I LOVE THE WII! its way better than just sitting there holding some controller cuz u acctually get to like swing @ atuff %26amp;%26amp; wut notPS3 vs. 360 vs Wii?
Choose the system by its games, and what it's going to release. That being said, if you're looking to by a system based upon its performance. Buy the 360 for xbox live, buy wii for its control scheme, and buy the ps3 for it's performance and general high quality/blu ray.
I prefer the Wii first, the PS3, and then the 360.
I like the Wii because of all of its features (such as the channels), and the big selection of games. Plus, it's a lot cheaper. The PS3 comes next because the past Playstation consoles have always been great and it has a better selection of games than the 360. The 360, in my opinion, doesn't have any games that I like.
